Have you ever had that problem that Internet pages are slow to come up in your browser, but then when your on a site it all works fast all of a sudden?

I could never find the answer to that until I played around with a hidden setting in the TCP/IP control panel.

• Go into control panels> TCP/IP
• Choose EDIT > User Mode
• Set user mode to Administration

• Then hit the OPTIONS button in the bottom right corner.
  
  
  
  

• In the next window UNCHECK the box : Load only when needed

This fixes that initial slowness problem to get onto websites

I never fill anything in in the main TCP/IP window but you might want to fill in a search domain or the IP address of a name server if you experience that the provider's name server is slow.
